On Sunday April 20th Sustaining Cultures
will be at Kit Carson Park from 10am to 4pm joining the NM Solar
Energy Association's Earth Day Celebration. Visit our booth to
learn more about World Fair Trade Day and the Environment.
The Earth day celebration at Kit Carson
Park in Taos New Mexico will take place on Sunday, April 20th
from 10 to 4 and is being presented by the Taos chapter of the
New Mexico Solar Energy Association. There will be fun for children
of all ages with music, food and information booths provided
by local groups involved in the sustainability and environmental
movements. Invited guests include members of the Longest Walk

On Feb. 11th, Longest Walk participants
embarked on a 5 month journey from San Francisco to Washington,
D.C. arriving on July 11th. The Longest Walk south route is being
led by AIM co-founder Dennis J. Banks. It is an extraordinary
grassroots effort on a national level to bring attention to the
environmental disharmony of Mother Earth, sacred site issues,
and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original longest

End Game plus segments of the film Zeitgeist will be shown at
the TCA from 6-10pm. Jes Karper wil provide acoustic blue and
folk during intermission. This event is a fundraiser for Food
Not Bombs and the Taos Peace House. Admission is $5.00

Award-winning composer and
multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Fisher, combining music and storytelling,
and music as storytelling will be performing pieces from past
and future cds. On one of his rare forays from his off-the-grid
ranch in California's San Jacinto Mountains, Fisher is stopping
in Taos on his way to television, store and club appearances
from Texas to Florida.
